A Stylish Escape at Canopy by Hilton London City
In the heart of East London’s creative quarter, Canopy by Hilton London City embodies the perfect blend of contemporary style, comfort, and local culture. During our one-night stay, we discovered a hotel that beautifully captures the city’s energy while offering a cozy retreat that feels like home.
A new addition makes it even more special: Needless Robots, a mesmerizing light installation by Dutch-born, London-based artist Simon Heijdens. Installed at the hotel’s entrance, this poetic piece uses tubes of light to form sculptural “plants” that move with the natural rhythms of the wind, connecting the urban interior to the living patterns of nature outside. Reflecting Canopy’s dedication to supporting local creativity, it’s a striking example of how art and hospitality come together to celebrate the neighborhood’s spirit.
From the moment we arrived, the lobby set a welcoming tone. Designed in soft, velvety tones and warm colors, it exudes an atmosphere of understated elegance. The space feels both luxurious and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day in the city. The inviting seating areas, gentle lighting, and subtle design details create a sense of calm that contrasts beautifully with the lively streets outside.

Just beyond the lobby, the St. Clare Coffee & Bar is a true focal point. Spacious yet intimate, it offers an impressive selection of beverages, from signature cocktails to fine wines and premium spirits. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of exploring or meeting friends for an evening drink, it’s the kind of place where time seems to slow down. Throughout our visit, the attentive and friendly staff ensured every experience felt personal and seamless — always available, always kind.

Our room continued this sense of thoughtful comfort – spacious, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the space was generous and well laid out, offering room to move without feeling cluttered. Warm lighting, modern furnishings, and subtle design accents created an ambiance that was both stylish and restful — a true haven to retreat to after a busy day in the city.

For those looking to enjoy a lively yet laid-back atmosphere, St. Clare Coffee & Bar on the ground floor offers Sunset Sessions every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, featuring a DJ and specially curated cocktails. It’s the perfect spot for post-work drinks — an easy, upbeat escape right in the heart of The City.
The highlight of our stay, however, was undoubtedly Florattica, the hotel’s stunning rooftop bar and restaurant. This spectacular space offers breathtaking views of London’s skyline, paired with elegant décor and a truly inviting atmosphere. The seating is plush and comfortable, ideal for long conversations over a cocktail or a glass of wine. During our visit, we sampled a variety of dishes from their menu, and every item was a delight — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and executed with care. Live music added a soft, lively rhythm to the evening, while the personalized service made us feel completely at ease, rounding out an unforgettable rooftop experience.
The outdoor terrace is equally enchanting — equipped with heaters and cozy blankets, it allows guests to enjoy the fresh air and city views in complete comfort, even on cooler nights. Surrounded by the sparkle of London’s lights, it’s an experience not to be missed.
This winter, Florattica’s ‘Winterbuds’ Igloos are now live and available to book on the rooftop terrace — cozy, private spaces for groups of 6 or 10 guests to enjoy the panoramic views even in colder months. And as the holidays approach, the hotel will host a Christmas Day three-course menu with live music, as well as a New Year’s Eve celebration filled with food, drinks, and live entertainment from 7 pm to 2 am — perfect for ringing in 2026 in true London style.
What makes Canopy by Hilton London City truly special is how effortlessly it combines modern design, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. Every corner feels intentional, every detail carefully curated.
Our one-night stay left us thoroughly impressed. From the inviting lobby and thoughtfully designed rooms to the exceptional rooftop experience at Florattica, the hotel is a true urban retreat — one that invites you to slow down, indulge, and savor the magic of London in style.
