Sister Wives star Kody Brown‘s “apology tour” gets a dose of reality from none other than David Woolley, Christine Brown Woolley‘s husband. So, Kody takes to the road to meet with his three ex-wives on this season of the TLC series.
First, he visited Janelle Brown, and then it was Christine’s turn. Kody later explains it was out of respect that he invited David to join them in their conversation. But this stop on his apology journey didn’t bode well for the man with ringlets.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown On High Alert About Christine Brown
Kody Brown met with Janelle Brown before meeting with Christine Brown on the Sister Wives series. He thought Janelle was graceful during their talk. But he wasn’t sure Christine would follow suit, after all she was the first of his three wives to up and leave him. And she had her other half, David Woolley with her as Kody apologized.
It sure looked like Kody’s concerns about how Christine would take his apology were warranted.
Kody Declares Past Love for David Woolley’s Wife
One of the major issues Kody wanted to address and apologize for was his declaration that he never loved Christine. He said this about all three ex-wives, stating that Robyn was the only wife he loved. But he explained that wasn’t true, and he said it out of raw anger over his wives leaving him.
The Sister Wives star described how he feels about seeing Christine: “I am walking into an environment where trust has been killed. I mean, we don’t have trust.”
So, with David by her side, Kody apologized for saying he never loved Christine. But that put Christine in a protective mode, as he professes his past love for her with her new husband sitting right there.
Sister Wives: Christine Brown Sees This as “Weird”
The Sister Wives patriarch wanted to set things straight about loving Christine, even though he said a while back that he never loved her. So, Christine gets to hear this, but at the same time, the man she loves today and who treats her like a queen is sitting next to her.
Kody said to Christine, “I wanted to apologize with all my heart for how we broke up, for how it all went down.” He then made sure to tell her that he did love her despite saying he never did. But she shut down Kody by saying, “That’s a weird thing to say. I have a husband right here now, you know, to [say], I used to love you.”
Despite Christine accepting his apology and insisting they leave it all in their past, hearing Kody talk about the love he had for her with David sitting there didn’t sit right with Christine. But another party also chimed in, that’s David Woolley. Apparently it didn’t fly well with him either, and he gave Kody a piece of his mind.
David Sets Things Straight With Kody
It appears David Woolley doesn’t put much stock in Kody’s apology tour. He thinks Kody’s apology is needed elsewhere, and he lets Kody know that.
David sided with Christine about this being weird. While this started out as a calm meeting for the trio, it gets tense fairly quickly for this trio of Sister Wives cast. After Kody tells Christine he is sorry for saying he never loved her, David jumps in.
He says to Kody, “You know damn well you loved her because you wouldn’t [have gotten] married, and you wouldn’t have all these kids if you didn’t love her.” So, David wasn’t about to sit idly by as Kody professed his past love for Christine. No, instead David Woolley tells Kody Brown what he should do with his apology…
It seems David believes Kody should be spreading his apology out to his kids rather than his exes, and he lets him know this in so many words. So, it looks like Kody Brown’s apology tour became heated as David Woolley made a few suggestions to his wife’s ex-husband as Sister Wives rolls along.
