Sister Wives fans cannot stop posting about Kody Brown‘s bizarre behavior when Aurora Brown brings her boyfriend, Brodie Utley, home to spend time with her family this week on the TLC series. Some question Aurora’s behavior as well; after all, she is no longer a teenager. She is in her twenties.
Sister Wives: How Old is Aurora Brown?
At 23, Aurora Brown is old enough to make her own decisions, so fans can’t understand why Kody Brown and Robyn Brown act as if she is a young teen. Most of all, the viewers cannot get over how the Sister Wives patriarch inserts himself into what Aurora and her boyfriend should or should not do.
Kody bases all his advice on having gone through three divorces. Somehow, it seems he believes that he has learned enough from his rocky past to pass on expert advice to Aurora and her boyfriend.
It seems he wants his daughter to know what she is getting into before things heat up with a kiss. Many Sister Wives fans watched Aurora’s boyfriend become more uncomfortable as Kody preached some strange advice.
Kody Brown Rambles On About Aurora & Brodie
Sister Wives fans suggest Kody couldn’t help himself, he had to make the conversation about him. At one point, before his daughter’s cowboy boyfriend showed up, Kody asked her if Brodie looks at her like Kody looks at Robyn Brown.
Still, Kody shared his thoughts about Aurora dating, and many thought his advice was, at best, strange.
“I’m just constantly reminding Aurora and Brodie to take care because I don’t want my kids fooling around,” Kody said during a confessional. “I say to these young men, almost always your job is to protect my daughter, even from yourself.” But what he said next dropped jaws.
Kody claims, “When you’re just dating, you’re kissing another man’s wife until she’s your wife,” Sister Wives fans tried to follow his thoughts on chastity when he said, “If she doesn’t become your wife, you’re kissing another man’s wife.”
Sister Wives: An Embarrassed Daughter?
Brodie gave Aurora a knife as a gift, and he looked confused when Kody told him it is his job to protect Aurora when the two are together. Somehow this looked as if it got misconstrued for Brodie when Kody rapidly shot him questions about keeping Aurora safe.
Brodie told Kody that she has a knife to protect herself, but the Sister Wives patriarch made the question even more confusing, leaving Brodie struggling with what to say.
Kody wanted to know how Brodie planned to protect Aurora from himself if need be-. Again, Brodie brings up the knife. Finally, Robyn appeared to see the nonsense in Kody’s line of questioning, and she changed the subject.
But it was too late; Aurora’s facial expressions were easily read by the Sister Wives fans. She looked embarrassed, and her boyfriend seemed to be in a state of confusion by the time Kody Brown was done.
Can you imagine Brodie’s family members watching this scene on the TLC series? Oh, to be a fly on the wall as his parents offer their son advice after seeing this.
