Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
San José, California’s Isaac Litwiller has announced his intention to swim and study at the University of Louisville beginning in the 2027-28 school year. He confirmed to SwimSwam:
“I am proud to announce my continuation of academics and swimming career at the University of Louisville! Thank you to my parents, brother, and teammates for the incredible support through this process. I especially want to thank Coaches Andre, Carrie, Oliver and Andrew from Quicksilver as well as Coach Arthur and all of the Lousiville staff who made this possible for me! Go Cards!
”
Litwiller swims for Leland High School and Quicksilver Swimming. He is a “Best of the Rest” designee on our Way Too Early list of top boys’ swimming recruits from the high school class of 2027, mainly for his sprint freestyle times.
He began the 2024-25 short-course season with PBs in the 100 free (44.47), 200 free (1:39.78), and 50 back (23.49 relay leadoff) at Winter Juniors West, where he placed 12th in the 100 free. At Roseville Sectionals in February, he took his 200 free time down another 2.3 seconds to 1:37.43 and added a PB in the 500 free (4:32.99). And then in high school season, he clocked lifetime bests in the 50 (20.65), 100 (44.16), and 200 (1:36.46) free, ultimately swimming at the California State Championships and placing 6th in the 100 free and 8th in the 200 free.
Two weeks later, Litwiller jump-started long-course season at U.S. Nationals, going a lifetime best in the 100 free (50.97). A week later, he was at the Summer Sanders Meet notching PBs in the 50 free (23.55), 200 free (1:55.47), 400 free (4:07.55), and 50 back (27.15). By the end of the summer, he had lowered his 50 and 200 free times to 23.24 and 1:52.85, respectively.
Top SCY times:
- 50 free – 20.65
- 100 free – 44.16
- 200 free – 1:36.46
Litwiller’s times are just a bit out of scoring range at the ACC conference championship level (it took 19.41/ 42.78/ 1:34.41 to get second swims in the sprint free events last year) but he has nearly 2 years to continue his development curve and should be an asset to UL’s relays as well. He will join the Cardinals in the class of 2031 with Boone Wilcox, Cale TeBeest, Ty Thomas, and Jack Murphy. Litwiller’s training group will include TeBeest (a 20.1/44.9 sprinter) and Thomas (20.0/43.8/1:38.9).
