Andy Cohen is always in his daddy era — but maybe now more than ever.
During Cohen’s Wednesday, October 29, appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, host Alex Cooper commented on his longer hair, which led into a conversation about the Watch What Happens Live host’s recent transformation.
“I, also, this summer lost some weight. I think that when your face is thinner, you can carry off longer hair better,” Cohen, 57, said, explaining that he’s “doing everything” after going on a bit of a health journey.
“In May, I couldn’t button my suits. I was kind of at an all-time high and I didn’t feel good about myself,” he continued. “I’m someone who usually feels pretty damn good about myself.”
Cohen explained that he was “eating everything” before going on his weight loss journey.
“I have kids,” he added. “My son is like, ‘Yeah, I don’t want any more mac and cheese.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, I’ll finish it.’ Like, waffles and let’s all get ice cream and burgers. I was like a hoover. I was hoovering food. It’s so bad. No self-control.”
Being at work didn’t keep him from snacking either.
“Then at Watch What Happens Live, ‘Oh, Andy, this chocolate chip cookie company sent you this huge thing.’ Then, I have two tequilas on the show and I’m like, ‘Where’s that cookie?’” Cohen said. “I was a psycho. I was just a psycho.”
Not only does Cohen look good after his slimdown, but he said that he feels “great” at this point in his life.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Cohen said when talking about continuing his career. Cooper chimed in, adding, “You lost the weight. You got your long hair. You’re looking sexy. You’re here to stay.”
Elsewhere in the episode, the Bravo boss also discussed his decision to briefly try a GLP-1 while on his health journey.
“This summer, I microdosed a GLP-1 and I immediately talked about it when I came back from break after Labor Day,” he said. “I was like, ‘I will be the hypocrite of the universe for not saying this,’ because of every question I’ve asked [Housewives].”
He revealed his experience with using the drug during a September episode of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy.
“Given that for 20 years I have been asking people about their body regimens and that I’ve been pretty vocal about every time I go on a diet,” he said, “I do think it would be completely hypocritical not to share that I did this summer lose a good chunk of weight by micro-dosing a GLP-1 all summer.”
Cohen shared that he was “really unhappy” with his weight at the time, but it was about more than just looks. He was also worried about “plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure” as he got older.
“It really helped me with cravings, which I was having a very hard time with, and really forcing myself to be more disciplined with my diet and with working out,” Cohen added. “I am on a pretty rigorous health journey.”
