Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Lake Erie Silver Dolphins’ Erkhes Enkhtur has verbally committed to Virginia Tech University as a part of the Hokies’ men’s 2026 recruiting class.

I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Virginia Tech! I’m incredibly grateful to my family, coaches, and teammates for their support. Thank you to Virginia Tech staff for this amazing opportunity.

GO HOKIES!!🔥🦃

Enkhtur hails from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, but represents the Lake Erie Silver Dolphins in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Enkhtur holds six individual Mongolian swimming records across both short course and long course meters. His long course records include the 50 backstroke (25.76), 100 back (57.25), 200 back (2:06.99), and 50 breast (29.08). He also holds short course records in the 50 back (25.70) and 100 back (56.26).

Enkhtur wrapped up his summer at the World Junior Championships (LCM), where he represented his home nation of Mongolia. His top finish came in the 50 back, clocking 26.34, finishing 25th. He also turned in a 39th-place performance in the 50 breast, clocking 29.43.

Stateside, Enkhtur competed at the 2024 Speedo Winter Junior Championships – East in December. There, he notched three best SCY times, clocking 48.88 in the 100 back, 1:47.57 in the 200 back, and 1:50.23 in the 200 IM.

Enkhtur represents Spire Institute, where, as a high school junior, he swam four SCY lifetime best times at the 50th Annual Viking High School meet in December. He notched best times in the 50 breast (26.17), 100 breast (56.00), 50 butterfly (23.06) and 100 fly (50.16).

Best Times SCY:

  • 100 Back: 48.88
  • 200 Back: 1:47.57
  • 100 Breast: 56.00
  • 200 IM: 1:50.23
  • 100 Free: 47.67
  • 200 Free: 1:42.80

The Virginia Tech men finished 6th at the 2025 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships.

Based on Enkhtur’s best times, he would have finished 42nd in the 100 back, tied for 44th in the 200 back, and 52nd in the 200 IM.

His relatively uncommon mix of back and breast talent is intriguing and should provide some wiggle room to experiment with a few different meet lineups. He doesn’t yet have a lot of SCY racing experience, yet he has already competed at one of the top yard meets in the country, showing a positive trajectory for his future NCAA career.

Enkhtur will join Alex Parent, Matthew Wolfe, and Alex Grocholski in the Hokie men’s 2026 recruiting class.
